Hunting Nazi Gold With Guy Walters | Full Documentary

During the Second World War, an explosion occurred at a branch of the Rotteramsche Bank in Arnhem in August 1944. Several Nazi soldiers took advantage of this situation and raided the bank, stealing gold, jewelry, gemstones, watches etc.

They then buried the loot in four ammunition boxes next to a footpath just south of the village of Ommeren, about 25 miles west of Arnhem.
This happened a month before Operation Market Garden, so it was assumed the explosion was caused by a stray Allied bomb.

In January 2023, the Dutch National Archives released photographs of a map that was believed to show the location of this ‘Nazi Gold’, and renowned historian Guy Walters takes on the challenge of traveling to the site and attempting to find and dig it up.
