When searching for South Africa’s capital on Google, one of the further search results is “What is the real capital of South Africa” – it seems to confuse the world that this country could have more than two capitals. A South African would only shrug and say “It’s true my broe”, and indeed, it is. But this is just one of the things that make South Africa so unique.
The three cities play the role of the administrative capital, judicial capital and legislative capital representatively.

As I discuss later on in this video when looking at each city individually, all three of these cities used to play an important role in the country at some time in the past, prior to 1910. Therefore, the choice of which city or cities to choose as capitals wasn’t the hardest decision to make.

Watch this video till the end to learn about the 3 Capital Cities of South Africa and their reason for existence.
