Sheboygan County: History & Legends

Within 20 miles, you can enjoy all that Sheboygan County has to offer! With rich history at the Wisconsin Historical Society’s Wade House, people can travel through time for a slice of what people lived through in the mid-1800s. It’s full of activities that give their visitors an idea of the history of Sheboygan County including a tour of an operating water-powered saw mill, blacksmith shop, and a historic hotel where you can fully experience what a stay would be like. It’s more than just seeing what history was like but actually getting to experience it!

Beyond the historical site, Sheboygan County is home to multi-generational companies! Sargento Foods and The Kohler Company are both pillar companies that have helped to shape the county over the years.
